UTS on Mobile

 

UTS on Mobile is an Indian Railways official Andriod, iOS and Windows based mobile ticketing application, which allows the daily train travellers to book unreserved tickets on their Smartphone. The application has user friendly interface with features like book ticket, cancel ticket, user profile management, frequent travel routes, etc.

  • There are two modes for booking Tickets : 

Paperless Ticket:

  • In this mode the passenger can book Journey Ticket, Season Ticket and Platform Ticket through mobile app. The ticket in electronic format will be stored in the mobile itself. The passenger will use ‘Show Ticket’ option (this is available both in Online and Offline mode ie. without internet connectivity) in the application to produce his travelling authority to the Ticket Checking Staff. There is no need to take any printout.

  • Passenger’s smartphone should be GPS enabled.

  • Paperless tickets are not allowed for cancellation.

  • The journey should commence within one hour after booking of paperless ticket.

  • Season Ticket can be issued/renewed from mobile application and it will be valid from the next day. No need of GPS for issue/renewal of Season Ticket.

  • Platform Ticket can also be booked.

  • In case passenger is not able to show the ticket on mobile then he will be treated as Without Ticket and dealt accordingly. 

Paper Ticket:

  • In this mode the passenger can book ticket through the mobile application but has to go to the journey originating (source) station to take ticket print out from any of the ATVM/Co-TVM, by entering his/her registered mobile number and booking ID. 

  • The journey is valid only with printed ticket.

  • Cancellation of Paper Ticket is allowed at the counter, either after printing the ticket or through the application before printing the ticket. However, in both the cases, cancellation fee is applicable.

  • The journey should commence within one hour after printing paper ticket from ATVM/Co-TVM.

Feature of UTS on Mobile App

  • This App is developed by CRIS.

  • Available on  Android, Windows and iOS Platform.

  • Registration is simple : Passenger can register by providing his/her mobile number, name, password, gender and date of birth.

  • This services are not available to persons under the age of 17.

  • Upon successful registration, Railway Wallet (R-WALLET) is created automatically with zero balance.

  • Tickets can only be booked through R-WALLET.

  • R-WALLET can be recharged either at any UTS counter or through  the website www.utsonmobile.indianrail.gov.in

  • Paperless Journey Ticket, Season Ticket and Platform Ticket can be bookied 

  • Advance ticket booking is not allowed.

R-WALLET

  • R-Wallet is a closed wallet of IR. Being a closed wallet, all the rules of RBI for Closed Wallet will apply.

  • A Web Portal www.utsonmobile.indianrail.gov.in has been designed, for the UTSonMobile user. User has to login into this website using his mobile number as userid and password. Upon successful registration a Wallet (called as R-WALLET) with zero balance is created.

  • The minimum recharge value is Rs.100 and multiples of Rs.100 which can grow up to Rs. 10000. The maximum stored-value amount in this R-Wallet is Rs.10000.

  • Currently, there is 5% bonus on every R-Wallet recharge.

  • Using this website, user can Recharge (Top-Up) the Wallet, using payment options as Net-banking/Debit card/Credit card/UPI/Wallets through Paytm, MobiKwik , FreeCharge payment aggregators and can see  R-WALLET balance.

  • User can check ticket booking history and cancelled ticket history.

  • User can also check whether any transaction was successful or not.

  • User can also change his profile. 

  • User can change his default journey attribute, city & already saved route. 

  • User can delete already saved route & he can create a new route.  Maximum five favourite routes can be saved, which can be used for quick booking of the tickets.

  • User can change his password using this website.
