Sub:- Mixing of private cash with railway cash — Item in the agenda of PNM meeting.
 
lt  has  been  brought  to the notice of Railway  Board  by  NFIR  that  S.C.  Railway  has issued some guidelines under Para 2429 of Indian  Rai1way Commercial  Mannal. Vol. II.  One of  the  guidelines  is  regarding  barring  raiIway staff  from  mixing  private  cash  with  railway cash.
 
Under  the  powers conferred  on  the  railway  adminisiraiion  vide  Para  2429 of IRCM. Vol.  II  and  Board’s  letter  of  even  number  dated  22.08.97.  railways  are  only  authorized  to add,  if    needed   to  the  categories  of  staff  who  are  required   to  declare  their  private  cash. Railway administrations should not make any  new provision in the rules without  the approval of  Railway Board.  Rules do not prohibit the staft  from mixing private cash  with Railway cash. Therefore,   Board   desires   thai   the   orders   issued   in   ihis   regard   may be   withdrawn immediately.
