Sub :- Operation of Theme-based ‘Bharat Gaurav Trains’ over Indian Railways. Ref :- Commercial Circular No. 14/2021 dated 23.11,2021.

As per the BGT policy rake demand request, specifying the coach composition, Right to Use (RU) period, age bracket of the coaches, no. of coaches etc., has to be placed by service provider through the online BGT portal along with Rake Security Deposit (RSD) of Rs 1 (One) Crore per rake in the form of Performance Bank Guarantee (PBG). The rake allotment process has to be initiated after verification of the PBG for which a maximum timeline of 10 days (3 days for submission of physical copy of PBG and 7 days for verification after submission of the physical copy of the PBG) has been allowed.
However, there is no provision in the policy for modification of composition by the service provider in the rake demand request once it is submitted.

The issue has been examined in Board’s office and one time modification in rake request by the services provider is allowed within a maximum period of 7 (seven) days after uploading of PBG on the portarrModification(s) in rake demand requests viz. no. of coaches, typerof coaches, age bracket of coaches and RU period, will be allowed within the ambit of extant BGT policy.

All other instructions/guidelines of Commercial Circular No 14 of 2021 shall remain unchanged and applicable for Railways mutatis mutandis.
